1. Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise
Cruise may not be doing so well with his personal life; however, things are looking up, for now, career-wise. Despite box-office bomb "Rock of Ages," last year's "Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol" skyrocketed to $700 million worldwide, making the film Cruise's most successful at theaters yet.

2. Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio
DiCaprio may not have had box-office (or Oscar) success with "J. Edgar," earning $79 million worldwide; however, he's still one of the most sought after actors at the moment in a leading role. We're looking forward to DiCaprio's performances in his next two films due out in December: "Django Unchained" and "The Great Gatsby" remake.

3. Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler
Despite a string of recent flops ("Jack and Jill" and now "That's My Boy"),—in three weekends at theaters, the latter has earned $37.6 million worldwide (Compare that to an estimated $70 million production budget.)—people love Sandler films. His 2010 comedy, "Grown Ups" earned $268 million worldwide and currently has a sequel set for July of next year.

4. Dwayne "The Rock"

Dwayne "The Rock"
"Fast Five" helped out Johnson this past year since the film was the highest-grossing movie in the franchise earning more than $626 million worldwide. The actor is already set to star in the next sequel "The Fast and the Furious 6" and will star in Paramount's pushed back "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" sequel next summer.

5. Will Smith

Will Smith
The Men In Black" series can do no wrong for Smith. The third film in the franchise has earned more than $600 million worldwide at theaters in six weeks.
Next, Smith will star in sci-fi film "After Earth" with son Jayden.

1. Akshay Kumar

Tadaa! His rise to the top has certainly been one to chart. Silently but slowly overtaking the Khan brigade, Akki has consistently delivered hits. He has proven to be the king of mindless comedies and producers rush to him for any comic role. He takes home a whopping 15 crores per movie, the highest ever paid to a Bollywood actor.

2. Aamir Khan

The perfectionist of Bollywood has the highest delivery rate. Usually doing a movie a year, all his movies turn out to be blockbusters. With Ghajini breaking all records, Aamir has once again proven his might. And for that, he charges about 13-14 crores a movie.

3. Shahrukh Khan

The baadshah of Bollywood is known to deliver certain hits and hence gets paid royally for that. With umpteen ads and television shows, times are good for him. He charges a cool 12 crores for a movie

4. Hrithik Roshan:

After the huge success of Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish, this green eyed boy has fast risen among the Bollywood ranks. Jodhaa Akbar was critically appreciated (though it was very long). Hrithik takes in approximately 10 crores and his three film deal with Adlabs, rumoured to be worth 30 crores, once made him the highest paid star in tinsel town.

5. Salman Khan

Bollywood’s own bad boy may well have reputation and a tendency to stir up controversies, but when it comes to pay packets, he certainly rakes in the big money. He is known to charge about 8-10 crores per movie, and even though his acting skills (and his accent) have always been debatable, he does deliver hits and has a huge fan following.

10. Gresso Luxury Phone = £expensive

The Russia based Gresso, is a new entry into the luxury phone market. Their aptly name “Gresso Luxury Phone” is made of gold and African Blackwood. Apparently they will be releasing a collection of five models called the Black Aura collection, and the designer is a “well known” Italian designer. Currently there are two versions of the African Blackwood phone, one with pink gold highlights named the Gresso Blackwood Gold Edition and one made entirely of African Blackwood. In addition to the two African Blackwood phones Gresso also make a phone made entirely of pink gold named the Gresso Gold phone. Initially, the phones will be on sale only in Russia.

8. Bang & Olufsen (Samsung) Serene = $1,250 (£675)

Bang & Olufsen hooked up with Samsung to design the sleek but unconventional Serene. It’s not a bad looking phone and even has a built-in motor to assist you in opening and closing the phone. It’s not very practical however, requiring a special screwdriver to access the battery and the SIM card and the circular keypad will take some getting used to. Also for some strange reason they have positioned the camera lens on the side of the device, which will make it difficult to align snapshots via the viewfinder on the display.

7. Mobiado Professional EM (wood) = $1,900 (£1,027)

The Mobiado Professional EM is a wood-clad upgrade of their earlier Nokia-based phone that includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Bluetooth and according to Mobiado it’s the first production phone with Titanium buttons. Only 200 are being made and each one has its limited number engraved on the back. At $1,900 however, you’re still paying an awfully high premium for a fairly basic phone encased in wood!

6. Gold Edition Nokia 8800 Phone = $2,700 (£1,459)

If you have $2,700 to spare, you can now buy the Nokia 8800 in 24K gold. However, be warned if you think you’ll be getting a better phone for your extra cash, you wont! The features found on the Gold Edition are the standard 8800 features which are pretty basic. It includes a 0.5 Mega pixel SVGA camera, 64 MB of internal memory, 64 voice polyphonic rigntones, FM Radio, Mp3 Player, video recording and 180 mins talktime. However, the Gold Edition does includes a special edition box and charging dock!

3. Sony Ericsson Black Diamond = $300,000 (£162,162)

Apparently the Black Diamond will be available in 2007, not from Sony Ericsson but by a company called VIPN. Initially only 5 unique numered pieces will be available for the unbelievable price of, wait for it… $300,000.
With regards to the specifications, don’t expect anything remarkable for your money. It will have Quad-band with Wi-Fi, an Intel 400Mhz processor running Windows Mobile 5 and a touch sensitive 2? screen. It will also include internal memory of 128mb and will come with a 2Gb SD card for external storage plus a respectable 4 Megapixel camera.
The designer Jaren Goh has used some pretty impressive materials for the build, featuring titane with polycarbonate, mirror-finish cladding and diamonds

2. Vertu Signature Cobra = $310,000 (£167,567)

Vertu is now taking orders for the Signature Cobra which is designed by French jeweler Boucheron, but you had better be quick as only 8 are being made. The Cobra will feature one pear-cut diamond, one round white diamond, two emerald eyes and 439 rubies. Vertu will also be offering a “cheaper” version, ruby free at $115,000 (£62,162)

1. Goldvish “Le million” = $1,000,000 (£540,540)

A PR stunt it may be and they surely can’t be expecting to sell any, but the Goldvish “Le million” is officially the most expensive mobile phone in the world, according the Guiness Books of Records. There has even been talk of a $1.3million phone, but this has fewer diamonds than the Goldvish so I can’t see where the extra expense comes from! The “Le million” is a one off piece featuring a blinding 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds, according to designer Emmanuel Gueit. If $1 million is out of your price range the Geneva-based Goldvish also offer several other diamond-encrusted 18k gold models in your choice of rose, yellow or white starting at a much more reasonable $25,600 (£13,837)

forgotten dream

Forgotten Dreams

the other day, while fencing my heart,
i chanced upon an impossible dream,
it rose, in beauty, on feet of hope
and embraced a teardrop out of me?

with hurried steps i rushed away,
to find my mask, my book of sense.
to invalidate my yesterday.
then turned to build my trusted fence.

there it lies unto this day,
un-nurtured, neglected, growing still,
i hoped it gone, wished it away,
but there it stays against my will.

i leave it at the gallows, pronounce it dead,
but come event of tender mind,
i look back and find it there.
only a few steps behind?

beguilingly tangible? agonizingly beautiful?
mercilessly invisible to all but me.

WiThOuT Me!

Without Me

I?ve dreamed many dreams that never came true,
If tomorrow starts without me,
And I?m not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn?t cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn?t get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you?ll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I?d have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I?d always thought,
I didn?t want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much left yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
The thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I?d say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven?s gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,

From His great golden throne,
He said, ?This is eternity,
And all I?ve promised you.?
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day?s the same way
There?s no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times
You did some things
You knew you shouldn?t do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you?re free.
So won?t you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without

Friendship

Friendship

Friendship burgeons out of nowhere
Right from the time we are born , we are daubed and caught unaware
As we grow, we live on to take friendship to higher levels
At the age of 3, we go by our friends? dresses and the colour of their towels
By class four,it more on the care and attention given
And not so much on the character, by which the choosing is driven
As we grow older, we check if our characters match
And also scan our likes and dislikes right from the scratch
But once we step into adolescence
It?s all new world of views and conceptions
When we were small we needed reassurance, ?You are my best buddy?
But now mere words are not required for a friendship this profound and sturdy
As days go by, silence means more than words
Tears are sweeter than smile , voice lovelier than the song of any bird
Then gradually you begin to take them for granted
You are hurt at the absence of a word, a gesture, u feel stranded
And suddenly when you had thought that they were going to be with you forever
They walk away into oblivion leaving you a shock and tremor
Before you could reveal what you feel
Everything comes to a halt and you are left to revisit those memories as in a reel
Friendship is as beautiful as a winter morning
And even when the snow melts, it still reveals more and leaves you yearning
But end is invariable for all
And those sweet moments will continue to augment in every rise and fall

DECEIVING LIFE

Deceiving Life

Driven by constant hope
We live each moment of our life
We are taught to dig out the scope
And never to let ourselves down with strife.

We believe it going to get better
We feel that fate can nvr be that cruel
But then at the end of the day?s clutter
We realise it was nothing but a cold, messy gruel

Like the generations before us
We were deceived
It was like a bus we never caught
Something denied after an ever-lasting wait
When u turn to the last page of likfe
You realise there was nothing miraculous in there
It was a long drama of misery
With intermissions of happiness?
-a dejected soul

Grand Mother's Hand

Grand Mother's Hand

My Grandmother?s Hands they are very nice
The hands which spank my butt only twice
Those hands that are so simple
Those hands which made my tears trickle
Hands which are powerful and strong
Those hands which have taught me right from wrong
Hands like I hadn?t seen before
Hands which are not needed anymore
Her voice is all that now needs to be heard
Because I have come to trust Grandmother?s word!!!

Light and Dance

Light And Dance

Light dancing through the window
wakes me up to another day?

to be passed in full consciousness
of the seconds the minutes the hours?
the day?sublime.

I learn helplessness, I lose productivity,
the consciousness of the ticking clock gulps me.
I forget what is timeless,
what is the color of the day;
the only things I produce
are digestive enzymes and semen.
Even the thoughts have turned into reminiscence.

I welcome the night.
The night that escapes the day
and put me to sleep, not beyond clockwork
as the hourly gongs pierce my skull,
the appreciation of the morning alarm
increases as the night draws close.
But the minutes and the seconds dance
in the production house of my dreams.

I travel in a train
sitting beside my pretty child,
my sweet one, I hold her hand
and come down innumerable steps.

In dreams we hold hands in the crowd.

We dance like fireflies
we dance till the last muscle burn out
and she falls down before me,
I?m still strong and young,
I carry her in my arms
to a place where we can fly.

But I must fly alone.
This poem starts the countdown
from 30, and I?ll be gone
leaving behind the hatred for the day
and submission into the night
my pretty child, my sweet one.
The hourly gongs sometimes startles
me in the morning I?m just awake
shaking dreams from my hair
writing the poem.

Freezing Night

Freezing Night

I was moving with a couple of thoughts
Straight to the market with steady trots
Hustle bustle of the market shaked my head
To bring a doll, that she loved the best
Or was it a hat, on which she protest

I was moving with a couple of thoughts
Straight to the market with steady trots
My wife asked for flowers with buds newborn
To look beautiful she wants herself to adorn
Oh ya ! i had to take medicine for my father
He must be waiting for me rather

I was moving and moving in a shimmering night
To fulfil my daughter?s plight
Further was waiting for me a mishap
There was a BLAST when i openend the flap

I was moving and moved so far
My friends and family now looks me in a star
My daughter still waiting holding my pic so tight
Still on the terrace on that freezing night?

In search of peace

In The Sun Of Space

I saw the sun rise on the mountains high,
Its pale light gleaming in the sky.
Shining peaks with pearl white glow,
And melting of snow with a sigh.

I saw the sun set on the sea shore,
Heard the sea?s various pirates? lore.
Saw the ships sailing by,
With the flag on mast and the captain at door.

I saw various streams gurgling by,
With stones and pebbles as their ally.
Waiting to reach their ultimate goal,
With no fear and ready to die.

I saw the dunes: hot and dry,
Heard the fiery reputation they occupy.
Was out there in the scorching sun,
Running after a mirage with a heart-rending cry.

I saw the meadows on starry night,
Walked under the moon in twilight.
Saw the great bear on the pitch black sky,
Tried to understand the dark when all was quite.

I saw the rain soaking the field,
Black dark clouds forming the guild.
Saw the poor farmer?s smiling face,
In hope of a very good yield.

I saw everything in bloom and in decline,
But I didn?t find the peace divine.
At the very last I came back to my home,
There I found peace and a place that is surely mine.

Beautiful Eyes

Beautiful Eyes

This pair of small eyes,
Help in saying big things,
Love not expressed from lips,
Is confessed by a wink.

At any place in the world,
Her eyes keep searching for me,
Sparkle of her eyes is moved to her lips,
After she finds me.

Each feeling of her heart,
Is said by eyes of hers
Whenever I leave her,
Droplets of water stroll down in form of tears.

Can always find,
Unconditional love for me in her eyes,
Confirming the thought to be true,
That the pair never says lies.

I have a feeling,
She has a straight heart to eye connection,
As she expresses everything, by her eyes,
That?s needs to be mentioned.

When I can?t find her eyes around me,
Don?t know what happens to my day,
Smile from my visage,
Remains at bay.

In the night when I lie on a gathered hay,
Under the starry layer of the endless worlds,
I trace your eyes in the maze of stars,
Like a pattern laid out by two beautiful pearls.

This pair of small eyes,
Help in saying big things,
Love not expressed from lips,
Is confessed by a wink

It takes only a minute

It Takes Only A Minute

it hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, But what is more painful is to never have the courage to let that person know how you feel. Don’t go for looks; they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone,an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone..

When you fall in love

When You Fall In Love

When You fall in Love with someone,
Don’t think just start enjoying it.
Because after some time.
You will not be in position to enjoy anything

Freeman’s Mill

Freeman’s Mill

The old mill long had closed its door
the rotting wheel would turn no more
no grain to grind, no country stores
where old men sat, told stories, swore…

And rocks that formed the waterfall
became the playground for us all
on summer days, it beckoned, called
beneath the old mill’s rotting walls….

The chill of water, mountain-fed
awakened spirits, long since dead
where millers’ children once were fed
on banks upon which lovers wed.

And yet i hear the echoes still
where laughter of the children filled
those rotting walls upon the hill
‘twas once the home to Freeman’s Mill….

Love and Friendship

Love and Friendship by Emily Bronte

Love is like the wild rose-briar,
                                                 Friendship like the holly-tree—
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms
But which will bloom most constantly?

The wild-rose briar is sweet in the spring,
                                           Its summer blossoms scent the air;
Yet wait till winter comes again
And who will call the wild-briar fair?

Then scorn the silly rose-wreath now
And deck thee with the holly's sheen,
That when December blights thy brow
He may still leave thy garland green.
